Canada Water, which is located in London, first of all, not the nation of Canada, is a freshwater lake and wildlife preserve located in Rotherhithe, an inner district in the south east of London and part of the London Borough of Southwark.

The area quickly climbed the ladder in terms of wealth as the Jubilee Line also extended to the area, creating numerous connections to London, allowing people to live around the lake, and easily commute to the city.  Currently the entire area around Canada Water is undergoing a rapid development phase with new residential developments springing up, as well as a new library, more cafés and restaurants, and a couple of outdoor leisure facilities being built around the lake.
